GeneON's 50 kb DNA Marker is composed of 17 individual DNA fragments which are re-dissolved in storage buffer.
50 kb DNA Ladder has a number of proprietary plasmids which are digested to completion with appropriate restriction enzymes to yield 17 bands suitable for use as molecular weight standards for
agarose gel electrophoresis. The 50 kb DNA Ladder was designed for qualitative and approximately quantification of DNA mass. There are no unspecific bands besides the
fragments. The 3000 bp fragment is used a reference band.

Number of bands:
1. In the case of standard gel electrophoresis we recommend to use 0.6% agarose gel in TAE Buffer, voltage - 120 V, running time - 4 hours.
We recommend loading 2-4 μl (0.4-0.8 μg) of the DNA Ladder per line (plus 1/10 v/v of a loading dye).
2. In the case of pulse field gel electrophoresis we recommend to use 0.7-0.8% agarose TAE gel. The voltage and running time depend on the type of the chamber.
